Biography 

Dr. Siebeneck is an assistant professor in the Department of Public Administration and the Emergency Administration and Planning Program. Her teaching and research interests include hazards, evacuation and return-entry processes, emergency management, Geographic Information Science (GIS) and spatial analysis. Dr. Siebeneck teaches courses in hazard mitigation and preparedness, research methodology, and emergency management. Her current research focuses on geographic and temporal dimensions of risk perception, communication, and household behavior during the evacuation and return-entry processes during disasters. She is also currently working on a project funded by the Texas Department of Public Safety examining tornado risk and vulnerability in Texas. Her work has been published in several journals including Risk Analysis, Natural Hazards, GeoJournal, and Natural Hazards Review.
